Shark shuts Bondi Beach
A SHARK sighting has prompted a brief closure of Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach.
A warning was issued after the shark was sighted at around 7.15am yesterday, Waverley Council said in a statement.
The beach was evacuated until lifeguards were able to chase the shark off with a jetski, and it was then reopened.
Surfers and swimmers were returning to the water just after 9am, a surfcam showed.
