Drugs, firearm seized in Home Hill raids
A JOINT operation between Home Hill Police, Australian Border Force and the community has seen a quantity of cannabis and a firearm seized.
Home Hill police officer- incharge Sergeant Steve Wilson said one premises and three residences were raided during the course of Thursday’s operation with weapons and drugs charges laid.
Charges laid include possession of a firearm, dangerous drugs and possession of drug utensils. It is understood a 17- year- old juvenile was among those questioned with two people also expected to face court at a later date.
“Unlawful drugs and weapons will not be tolerated,” Sgt Wilson said.
He said the operation was a good example of how community reports and intelligence can help police.
