TWO men have been charged in relation to an alleged driveby shooting of vulnerable people at a Townsville park.

Police have charged a 24year- old Rangewood man and a 21- year- old Rasmussen man with assault occasioning bodily harm and dangerous conduct with a weapon.

It is alleged the men drove past Dean Park about 9pm on Monday and began shooting a group of indigenous people with a gel blaster- style gun.

Officers were informed of the attack by members of the group at the park and swiftly stopped a car nearby.
