Download guide for holidays

TOWNSVILLE City Council’s Summer School Holiday Guide has officially launched in time for the end of the school year.

The guide is a free publication created by the council that features free or low- cost activities suitable for families over the summer break.

Mayor Jenny Hill said the guide was a fantastic resource for parents.

“We know how hard it can be to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays,” she said.

“That’s why we work with local organisations and community groups to provide a publication full of free and lowcost activities.

“The guide is filled with ways to help families beat the boredom and the weather, with a range of indoor and outdoor activities.”

Community Cultural and Development Committee chair Cr Colleen Doyle said the guide was a great way to support both families and local organisations.

“The summer holidays can be a stressful and expensive time for families – the School Holiday Guide provides a list of budget- friendly activities for families to enjoy,” she said.
