Sport facility strategy

IT’S not too late to have your say on Townsville City Council’s Sport and Recreation Facility Strategy.

Consultation for the strategy will help determine which sporting infrastructure will be given priority, based on sporting trends and preferences of the public. Sporting clubs, schools and members of the community are encouraged to share their thoughts to allow the council to best understand Townsville’s sporting goals.

Mayor Jenny Hill said the council wanted to use the data to provide the best spaces for the wider Townsville demographic.

“We know Townsville loves its sport,” she said.
