Funding boost for copper project
MI NOTAUR E x p l o r a t i o n has been given a big boost in getting a copper project, planned for near Mount Isa, off the ground.
The company received a Collaborative Exploration Initiative, up to $ 251,000, by the Geological Survey of Queensland.
The money will be spent for geophysical surveys at Minotaur’s Highlands Project, 50km northeast of Mount Isa.
An Australian Stock Exchange release said the State Government grant would cover 75 per cent of the survey’s estimated cost.
“The survey will cover three main areas targeting geological units considered prospective for conductive iron sulphide copper gold style mineralisation, similar to that ubiquitous at Jericho for the Eliose JV ( joint venture),” the statement said.
“The survey is expected to commence early in 2019 after the northern wet season abates.”
