Townsville Bulletin sports journalist TRENT SLATTER chats with Cowboys legend Aaron Payne about stepping into his first senior head coaching role with the Townsville Blackhawks. Payne played 219 first grade games for the Cowboys before starting his coaching career with the club’s under- 20s team in 2016. He has most recently worked as an elite pathways coach at the Cowboys and will now take the reins of the Blackhawks next season.
