CUTTING BLOW FOR INJURED HEAT STAR

-

BEN Cutting insists his Brisbane Heat don’t need a facelift despite the man himself putting the call out for a good plastic surgeon after an attempted catch went wrong in the BBL.

The Brisbane Heat allrounder will likely be sporting two black eyes after a skied Marcus Harris drive went through his fingers and hit him in the face.

The big-hitter spilt the catch and some blood, despite claiming he had held on to the ball long enough before throwing it in the air in a state of panic.

“The first thing she (my girlfriend) said was ‘that looks like a monobrow, we need to get that fixed’, so any good plastic surgeons out there, send me a message,” Cutting said.

“I thought I held the ball long enough in the first place, it was an interesting decision.

“And literally a rush of blood; the adrenaline kicked in, I saw Mujeeb (Ur Rahman) out of corner of my eye, tried to throw it to him.”

The Heat went on to lose easily to the Renegades (4-3), who shot to second on the ladder and ensured the Heat (2-4) remain in seventh.

Brisbane managed just 144 on Thursday night, with Brendon Mccullum again top scoring with a 46-ball 50.

The Heat lost 4-5 at the back end of their innings, following a collapse of 5-2 on Tuesday night against Sydney Thunder.
