ACTIVITIES DRIVE HITS BULLSEYE

- JACOB MILEY

A One-hour drive didn’t stop the Bellos from driving from their Ayr property to get some tips to stay active for the year ahead.

And while dad Luis owns a gym, it was girls Alexandria, Mika and Evana who left feeling a little fitter, with the trio deciding to sign up for a sport in Townsville at the Get Active Expo yesterday.

It wasn’t the standard swimming, tennis or soccer, but rather archery and circus school that caught their attention.

The family will now look at making the journey every fortnight to get involved.

“When it’s beneficial for kids skilfully, it’s good fun,” Mr Bello said.

Mika, 5, will take up archery while her two older sisters will take up circus school.

Mr Bello said Evana was drawn to the circus because of the trapeze.

“She likes jumping, singing and climbing,” he said.

“With the circus, it’s also a bit of fun; they can do it at home, they can do it anywhere.”
