Regift call by Vinnies

VINNIES is calling for unwanted Christmas gifts to become a “gift that keeps on giving” by asking for them to be donated to a store in the Townsville region.

Many people receive gifts they do not need or want at Christmas, and residents are being urged to regift presents to their local store instead of sticking them in a cupboard or throwing them away.

Townsville region retail operations manager Matthew Griffin said by donating an unwanted gift to the local Vinnies shop people could brighten the life of someone else in the community.

“No matter what it may be as long as it is in good condition and usable, someone somewhere will be grateful for it,” he said.
