Missing man’s body found

A MAN who went missing from Hervey Range was found dead on Monday afternoon.

The 64-year-old was last heard from about 7.45pm on Sunday and was believed to be in bushland, perhaps in the Townsville Town Common.

A police command post was set up and a search in the rural area off Old Common Rd was conducted, but without success. A search operation began at 6.30am yesterday, with multiple crews searching the area on foot. Late yesterday the man’s body was found.
