Reds bundle out Bayern

LIVERPOOL are back as one of football’s powerhouses after they dispatched Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League quarter-finals along with Barcelona.

Sadio Mane struck twice as the Reds beat German champions Bayern 3-1 in Munich while two goals from Lionel Messi helped Barcelona romp past Lyon 5-1 at the Nou Camp.

Both round of 16 first legs ended goalless but Liverpool and Barcelona earned their passage to the last eight with comfortable victories.

Bayern suffered their earliest Champions League exit since a last 16 departure in 2011.
