Frank return of serve

-

FRANK Beveridge’s letter ( TB, 10/8) should be answered.

In his letter he states that the Katter party has failed to deliver the sugar mill in Ingham and the dredging of One Mile Creek at Port Hinchinbrook.

Frank’s social media during the election was riddled with last-ditch attempts to make himself relevant, yet he resorted to wild suggestions and woe-isme claims. He says Bob Katter is looking to reduce his attendance in Parliament, yet the direct opposite is the truth.

Frank claims that promises made during the election have not been met, well Frank your fellow Member for Herbert has back-pedalled, hidden and made excuses for one of the most pressing issues facing the North, our water.

Phil is in Government, yet he cannot deliver, Nick Dametto is in the State Parliament and he has the Labor (Brisbane) Party to tackle every day. Because your party has been asleep at the state wheel for over a decade, even with the biggest majority in history, they failed to deliver for us up here in the North.

Your lambasting needs to be directed at something that we need, because we do not need more of the same from any government, we need results.

Your party single-handedly destroyed our dairy industry and just look at the heartbreak and the result of that. We will be drinking second-grade milk from China at the rate you and your party are going. Nick Dametto has the Brisbane-based Labor Party to contend with, yet your Phil has his own party in office. Please tell me you have noticed this.

Your “sell the kitchen sink” attitude is what is killing our country, and what do you propose to campaign for Frank? Instead of whingeing about losing, why don’t you be the voice of our country and regions and make something happen with our water?

Throw in electricity prices while you are going into bat for all of those people who did not vote for you.

You claimed on your social media that the Katter party gives preferences to Labor, yet you have failed to recognise that people saw through your weak and shallow play.

Preference votes go to whoever the voter marks on their paper, and you and the Labor Party play on words that frighten voters into thinking otherwise.

Your party gave its preferences to Clive Palmer, I mean, wow, Frank that was a real slap on the back for all of those people who lost homes, cars and jobs.

Until integrity is brought back into the party system, we will have more Frank

Beveridges howling to the moon about preferences, lost causes and if only this or that had happened.

Well Phil (Member for Herbert), Frank (loser in Kennedy), we need a bit more “let’s just deliver for our country”, than your woefully weak letters in the also-ran section of the Townsville

Bulletin. DEBRA GIBSON, Pinnacles.
