Byrne secures training body appointment
TOWNSVILLE leadership and business training and consulting organisation Learning Partnerships has appointed Gerard Byrne to their governance and relationships management team.
Learning Partnerships managing director Miranda Hamilton said Learning Partnerships had a long history of providing training and business advisory services to North Queensland. Ms Hamilton said Mr Byrne’s appointment would allow them to expand the range of courses they provided.
“Learning Partnerships is committed to North Queensland and we are continually looking in ways to improve our offerings to business, industry and the community,” Ms Hamilton said.
Learning Partnerships general manager Kim Carlyon said Mr Byrne would bring a wealth of professional experience to the organisation as well as extensive knowledge of the North Queensland community.
Mr Byrne is a graduate of James Cook University and has been involved in training and delivering workshops across Australia and overseas.
He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and former Queensland state president of CPA Australia.
Mr Byrne lectures part-time at James Cook University in the MBA Program and Project Management.
Since March, he has been assisting at the Townsville Small Business Recovery Centre in the aftermath of the Townsville floods.
