Australia’s women’s rugby sevens team have launched their world series season promisingisingly with silver, er, beaten in the USA A Sevens final 26-7 by the hosts in Colorado.

The Rio Olympic champions had romped into the he final, scoring 78 unanswered points in wins against Russia and France in their quarter-final and semifinal.

But they were starved of possession against the im
