AUSSIE DRAMEDY

Director JJ Winlove has taken the experience of dementia and turned it into a dramedy called June Again, which is screening at the World Theatre this weekend.

June Again is about June who has dementia and is in a nursing home and out of the blue has a lucid spell. She decides to break out of the nursing home after being there for five years and seeing her family. Winlove said the dementia portrayed in the film is from the perspective of the person with the illness, in this case performed by Noni Hazelhurst.

June Again is rated M and is one of four feature films at the World Theatre this weekend.

Also showing is the R18+ rated Mortal Kombat, Spiral: From the Book of Saw (R18+) and Wrath of Man (MA15+). See the World Theatre website for movie screening times.
