Funding to combat DV
DOMESTIC and family violence prevention funding is on offer to help Indigenous services fight the scourge.
The grants will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders and service providers to design and deliver culturally appropriate support to First Nations people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Minister Craig Crawford said DV did not discriminate between age or culture. Applicants can apply for grants up to $10,000 from a pool of $140,000 for community action planning and capacity building initiatives.
