STRAND LAGOON

THIS was always going to be hard — a man-made lagoon formed on the seabed off The Strand. It sounded visionary when it was announced but the realities of life soon emerged. There were “issues” with seagrass, turtles and cost. A lot of cash was said to have been allocated on planning. There were suggestions of alternative locations. Little more has been heard since.
