HAUGHTON PIPELINE STAGE TWO

This is a project to boost emergency supplies of water from the Burdekin Falls Dam to Townsville via a 30km pipeline from the Haughton River to the Burdekin River near Clare. In June, stage one was announced to be in the last stages of pressure testing. A start to construction of stage two is set for late this year. No end date has been announced.
