Explosive discovery

A MAN has been charged after bomb-making equipment was allegedly found in a suitcase at his Sydney home.

Police were called to a home in Chifley to reports of a domestic incident about 11am on Sunday, where they arrested the 22-year-old.

Officers later conducted a search and allegedly found a pistol, ammunition, and a suitcase which “was examined and found to contain detonators and explosives”.

Police say they also seized Finks outlaw bikie gang clothing and paraphernalia.

The man faces a raft of charges, and was to appear at the Central Local Court on Monday.
