TUDEHOPE OUT IN STYLE
HE WAS voted the Fan’s Greatest of All Time last year, and Townsville’s Keegan Tudehope has made sure to go out on top.
The Heat captain has called time on his basketball career having amassed more than 200 games and two state league titles with Townsville.
He was determined to add a third to that list this season, putting in a dominant performance on the floor in the NBL1 North quarter-finals at the weekend, but it wasn’t enough as the Heat faltered.
The Townsville side was upset by arch rivals Cairns 85-69 at Starfm Stadium as Tudehope finished with a double-double.
There has been an outpouring of emotion from the Townsville Basketball community since the veteran made the announcement as many described him as the perfect role model for the next generation.
