FOOTBALL Queensland North boss Declan Carnes has backed major reforms which he believes will bring the game into the 21st century.

The reforms, which were voted in at an extraordinary general meeting on Saturday, are also expected to come with a competition shake-up.

The FQ Premier League, which will be a Champions League-style competition, is expected to be unveiled today ahead of its introduction next year.

The reforms are part of FQ’S Future of Football 2020+ plan.
