Woman allegedly three times legal alcohol limit
THREE alleged drink-drivers will face court later this month after allegedly being caught over the limit.
A Pentland woman has been charged with driving over the high alcohol limit after she was stopped by police on August 30.
It is alleged the woman, who was driving a Toyota Landcruiser on King St, had a blood alcohol concentration of .181 at the time.
The 46-year-old is scheduled to appear in the Charters Towers Magistrates Court on September 27.
A 28-year-old Charters Towers man will appear in court on September 13 after he was allegedly drink-driving on August 27.
It is alleged the man was driving a Toyota Landcruiser on Gill St at 8pm when he was stopped for a roadside breath test. Police will allege the man had a blood alcohol concentration of .064 per cent.
A P-plate driver who allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of .052 will also appear in court on September 13.
The 19-year-old Condon man is alleged to have been drink driving at 8.10pm on August 26 along Hackett Terrace in an Isuzu D-max.
Police are investigating a fuel driver off at a Gill St service station.
It is alleged two vehicles pulled up together at the station at 10.28am on August 26 and the drivers unloaded and filled jerry cans with fuel.
The two male suspects then allegedly entered the store and paid for drinks, but neither paid for the 52L of fuel worth $77. Investigations are continuing.
A Queenton teenager will appear in court in October charged with drug driving.
Police stopped the 17-yearold on York St in a Holden Rodeo on August 28 at 1.30am.
It is alleged a roadside drug test conducted by police was positive.
The provisional licence holder will face Charters Towers Children’s Court on October 18.
