EV2 Lions heavy-hitter Craig Mcelligott leads a high-profile field in the race for the ‘golden bat’ in the inaugural Mendi Tropical Big Bash.

Mcelligott starred for the Lions in their strong second round win over the Wildcatz hitting a 44-ball half century before being dismissed on the last delivery of the innings.

The batsman has 77 runs across the opening two games to lead the tournament with Gold City Bulls’ No.1 draft pick Sam Lowry on 71.

Reldas Ringers skipper Adam Zabala is third in the rankings with 60 runs.
