They were outclassed by the Demons, but the Lions hope a return home is just what they need to keep their season alive. Charlie Cameron kicked a bag of goals and Lachie Neale found plenty of the ball, but they struggled in defence and now must tackle a Bulldogs outfit that returned to form with a second-half shutout of the Bombers. The Bulldogs won their only meeting in the regular season and know the Lions have some scars from 2019 when they were bundled out in straight sets. A preliminary-final berth awaits the winner.
