Kiwi five-year-old Elephant has been building himself quite an impressive record in a short career, with five wins from as many trips to the races. Four of those were at home before he crossed the Tasman to deliver a powerful performance at Caulfield. Saturday marks his toughest assignment when he takes on the Group 2 Feehan Stakes at The Valley, but that hasn’t put many off. And he’s set to start one of the favourites for the weight-for-age contest, despite taking on some proven top-grade performers, but Elephant has an X-factor.
