TEACHERS GIVE STUDENTS A LESSON IN CARE

-

STUDENTS at a Melbourne high school say they have been overwhelmed by the generosity of their teachers who have sent them care packages during lockdown.

About 200 care packages were hand-delivered to Year 12 students in the past week, which included face masks, tea bags, mugs, personalised Year 12 jumpers, stress balls, a handwritten note from teachers and other items.

Year 12 student Isabella Noble, 17, said the packages had made students feel special during lockdown.

“Our school has been so supportive – even before lockdown, this just really just shows that the teachers care and that they are thinking of us,” Ms Noble said.

Assistant principal Tim Nolan said he was incredibly proud of students’ efforts during lockdown.

“We’re really proud of how students have logged on every day, they’ve engaged with their teachers and peers. Our year 12s have been incredibly positive throughout this experience,” he said. Many other schools are sending out similar packs to boost the spirits of their students.
