Curator not concerned about turf
QUEENSLAND Country Bank Stadium turf guru Bruce Fouracre is adamant the field will stand up to the rigours of an NRL finals double-header.
The state of the field during the Cowboys’ loss to Manly at the weekend has been cause for concern.
The NRL is understood to have reached out to the stadium directly on Monday.
The turf appeared to be torn up before the end of the first half, prompting concern around this weekend’s finals double-header.
But Fouracre said the scuffing was merely cosmetic and not a concern for staff.
