Winners find good form on greens

THERE were three rinks used at the Gold City Bowls Club on Sunday with several teams dominating play.

On rink three, Tina Barrett, Betty Johnstone and Tom O’brien played Dennis, Grace Gleeson and Arthur Balkin.

The game was even for the first 12 ends but then Tom stopped scoring and Arthur went on to a comfortable win.

On rink four John Lestone, Paul and Ian Barrett played Jack Scholes, Bob Wine and Wayne Lestone.

Wayne’s crew got away to a good start, scoring on the first five ends and this allowed him to keep the pressure on. They won easily.

At the green in Prior St on Tuesday, Tina Barrett and Denis Donaldson found themselves up against Charlie Truscott and Pam Norton.

Pam was playing well and took them to a good lead at the halfway stage. They went on to claim a good win.

Wendy Thomasson, Betty Johnstone, Ken Peace and Robyn Seibold played Rhonda Richards Joe Hasson, Verdie Truscott and Debbie Perry.

The game was even until halfway when Robyn’s team went ahead before winning 16-10.
