ANEAR JOINS UNLEASH BOARD

-

SAFETYCULTURE CEO Luke Anear is joining the board of leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) video analytics platform Unleash live after his company led an $8m funding injection.

Unleash live’s Intelligent Remote Vision uses real-time video analytics to make visual inspections to detect faults in power lines, wind and solar farms and support public transport operators during Covid-19 with commuter, social distancing and face mask analytics.

Customers connect image capture devices, such as CCTV, Internet Protocol cameras, drones and smartphones, to Unleash live’s cloud-based platform to stream video and then apply the AI of their choice from Unleash live’s Apps Store.

Mr Anear, who launched Safetyculture’s global workplace operations platform in Townsville in 2012 and has

grown it into a $1bn company, said Unleash live was using innovative thinking to respond to old challenges.

“We recognise the potential of leveraging camera feeds to trigger safer, smarter actions. AI video analytics is an enormously powerful data source for an operations platform like ours, and one that many of our customers can benefit from,” Mr Anear said.

“Unleash live has shown extraordinary growth during the past year. I’m eager to help them support more organisations to be better, faster and more reliable.”
