Repairs on roads done
ROADS damaged by the 2019 monsoon have been repaired through a $30m state government program.
The 2019 Betterment Program aimed to boost the flood resilience of key regional Queensland roads.
Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said roads across the state’s northwest, central-west and far north regions were targeted.
Projects included stabilisation works to sections of the Flinders Highway between Hughenden to Richmond, and at Nelia.
The work included strengthening and sealing sections along the Kennedy Developmental Rd between Hughenden and Winton, and improvements to the timber Isabella Creek bridge.
