Aussies in super snub
ALMOST one in four Australians don’t have a super fund, new research has revealed.
A survey of 1007 Aussies by comparison website Finder found that 24 per cent of people didn’t have a superannuation fund.
Researchers say the demographic of Australians without a super fund could be attributed to the introduction of the Superannuation Guarantee in 1992, as only half of Baby Boomers had a fund compared with 82 per cent of Gen Z and 85 per cent of Gen X.
Women were more likely not to have a superannuation fund, with 26 per cent not having one compared with 21 per cent of men.
