BOY HAS BIRTHDAY BIKE STOLEN IN CALLOUS ACT

-

A YOUNG boy has had this birthday bike stolen after he was pushed off it by a young adult while riding near his home on Monday afternoon.

Tamara Oborne is pleading with the community to help find the bike that was given to her son Logan, 10, as a ninth birthday present, after Logan was callously pushed off his bike while riding around the Dalrymple Service Road area.

The person who assaulted Logan and stole the bike was described as a young adult man.

Logan’s terrifying ordeal happened about 5.45pm to 6pm, and has understandably left him and his family upset.

“It’s just terrible,” Ms Oborne told the Townsville Bulletin.

“One guy came along and pushed him off his bike.

“He’s upset. It’s just terrible that kids can’t ride around on their bikes.”

Ms Oborne said the family has had bikes stolen from their house a few years ago, but have never experienced anything like this.

“We just want to get his bike back,” Ms Oborne said.
