OLYMPIAN’S ADVICE FOR YOUNG ATHLETES LEAP OF FAITH
AUSTRALIAN Olympian Ash Moloney knows the hardest step of any event can be the first one. But after winning bronze in Tokyo last month, he is determined to use his platform to make sure more kids take the plunge.
Moloney returned to the track where it all began in his decathlon journey in Townsville last night, entertaining a crowd of young athletes.
The 21-year-old, who declared he still had many mountains to climb yet in his career, passed on a message of determination and grit.
“I want to inspire the North Queensland athletes to have a go,” Moloney said.
