QFES warn of smoke

SMOKE from a hazard reduction burn in Stuart was seen across multiple suburbs on Wednesday.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services released an “avoid smoke” notification on Wednesday at 5.30pm for the Stuart, Cluden and surrounding areas following a hazard reduction burn.

Smoke was also sighted across Idalia, Oonoonba and Wulguru.

The fire took place between the Port Access Rd, Racecourse Drive and the JBS meatworks. Five crews were on the scene at 5.40pm.
