Young Christian Student groups excited to be back in action

YOUNG Christian Student is coming back into swing of things after Covid-19 hit the groups hard, halting most activities.

On September 18, the first Social Event of the year is taking place inviting current YCS members and potential new members from across Townsville and the Diocese to meet other YCS members and young people.

Social justice warriors: The active groups are back in action with Review of Life and Actions.

One group is looking into the Pandemic Enquiry, a document done up by the Melbourne YCS team for YCS and non-ycs groups to look into the facts of the pandemic and see how it has affected themselves and people from around the world.

It has allowed the students to see how it affects people, beyond the statistics.

The recovery from Covid includes the starting up of stopped groups, broken up by the interruption the pandemic brought, and providing information and visiting the schools to properly meet and interest new schools in starting up YCS groups for their students.
