Ignite Conference to spark faith and enthusiasm in young people

-

TWENTY-SIX young people from across our diocese will be travelling to Brisbane for the Ignite Conference where they will experience four days of formation, encouragement in faith, great people and powerful worship.

It will be an exciting experience for our young people, especially with lockdowns and Covid-19 restrictions.

Diocesan Youth Worker Helen Melarekere said it gave them something to look forward to in this difficult time.

“This is exactly what our young people need and for Brisbane to provide this opportunity, it is a great blessing,” she said. “Ignite Conference allows our young people to have a mountain top experience, which ignites their faith before they return enthusiastic about their faith ready to give back to the community and continue their faith, giving the diocese opportunities to foster their faith through different pathways like social justice, worship, outreach and leadership.”

They will be travelling to Brisbane in mid September for the conference and are excited for this great opportunity.
