WIN FOR FIGHT TO DIE WITH DIGNITY

IN a historic moment in Queensland parliament, the voluntary assisted dying proposal has been brought into law, giving people the option to die with dignity.

The state government put a significant amount of work into developing the legislation, with three years worth of research, community consultation and developing the laws.

After receiving more than 11,000 submissions from Queenslanders, the legislation was drafted and then first introduced into parliament in May.
