RIVERWAY MOVIE NIGHT BACK

-

TOWNSVILLE will get a peek into the life of what pets do when their owners aren’t home with a free screening of Pixar’s Secret Life of Pets 2.

The movie will be shown at Riverway Stadium on Friday with the return of the Riverway Movie Nights.

Once a popular event on Townsville’s event schedule, the movie night has not run since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chairwoman Ann-maree Greaney said she was excited for the event to return.

“The weather is absolutely beautiful at the moment, so I would really encourage parents to take advantage of this fun and free night out with the kids,” Cr Greaney said.

“You can pack a picnic to take along, spread out a blanket to get comfy on, and sit back to enjoy Secret Life of Pets 2, which is such a funny movie.

“If you want to grab a bite to eat at Riverway Oval we’ll also have some food trucks on site to pick from.”

The screening is on from 6.30pm Friday at Riverway Oval.
