FORMER NORTH Queensland Cowboy and mental health advocate Antonio Winterstein Connections Health and Wellbeing Expo at the Burdekin Theatre on Saturday 9 October.

The event, held as a part of Queensland Mental Health Week, will feature a range of free activities and talks throughout the morning, before a ticketed keynote speech by Antonio at 11am.

Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn Mclaughlin said the event would be a fantastic opportunity for residents to experience the range of resources available to them locally, and understand that everyone, no matter their background, should prioritise their mental health.

“Council is excited to be welcoming Antonio to the Burdekin as a part of Mental Health Week, and hope this demonstrates that it doesn’t matter whether you are a successful footballer or Joe Bloggs from down the street – it is important that we all take the time to look after ourselves and ensure we are not only physically but mentally healthy,” Cr Mclaughlin said. Health and Wellbeing Expo will also feature live music, market stalls, kids’ activities, massage, reiki and more, so I encourage families and residents of all ages to visit from 8:30am until midday on Saturday 9 October.

“The keynote speech by Antonio will be a ticketed event held in the Theatre Foyer. on arrival, so don’t miss out!” Health and Wellbeing Expo will be held at the Burdekin Theatre Forecourt on Saturday 9 October from 8:30am as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.
