ENJOY your lunch in the city with free live performances starting up in the Townsville CBD next month.

Music in the City is a free lunchtime concert series shifting into Flinders Lane to give people a vibrant way to pass their lunchtime.

Councillor Ann-maree Greaney said the council was bringing back a great initiative that started in 2013.

She said Music in the City was much loved and will start on October 15.
