Survivor lands in tree strife
A SURVIVOR Australia television crew member who admitted to taking psychedelics has landed in court.
Taevah Kane Langdon, 19, told Magistrate Steven Mosch he had been affected by drugs when police were called to a Charters Towers property following reports of a man in a tree.
The court heard the Sunshine Coast man was talked down by officers, but Police prosecutor Nicole Butler said they noticed he was erratic and incoherent.
“He shaped up and was shadow boxing in the direction of police. He made attempts to push past police to decamp on foot, but police attempted to restrain him,” Ms Butler said.
“He resisted by pushing police away and stated, ‘f--you c---.”
Langdon represented himself and said he had taken psychedelics at the time of the incident. He said he was employed with the show Survivor.
“I note you’re still a young man aged 19 and I take into account it’s a charge of obstructing police rather than assaulting police,” Mr Mosch said. Langdon was fined $500, with no conviction recorded.
