Old roomies up for showdown

-

PENRITH skipper Isaah Yeo is wary of the form of his former roommate Reagan n Campbell-gillard before e their clash on Saturday y night.

Campbell-gillard laid id the platform early in Parrarramatta’s 28-20 win against Newcastle, dominating the likes k of f representative players Daniel Saifiti, Tyson Frizell and David Klemmer despite spending five weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury.

“That was a real statement game,” Yeo said of his former teammate.

“He came back with a point to prove after being out for a few weeks.

“He will be up for a big performance. We don’t talk on the field. There is a little bit of chirp after the game. It’s a good battle. When he has played this year, he has been one of the form front-rowers.

“The last time I spoke to him was when we played them. I checked on him a few weeks back. We haven’t spoken since then.

“We both have bubs on the way, so we are more focused on football land and family life than each other.”

The pair have squared off three times since Campbell-gillard joined the Eels from Penrith last year, with Yeo enjoying a 2-1 record.
