Rising Star
Tyler Robinson of T-rob Constructions
Throughout all aspects of his life, Tyler Robinson has a belief that “how you do one thing, is how you do everything” and this is evident in the quality of his workmanship and his commitment to completing every project to the best of his ability.
The whole judging panel was impressed with Tyler’s approach to business and said it was clear to see he had an excellent working relationship with his clients.
“With aspirations to provide exceptional customer services, the judges have no hesitation in awarding Tyler the Rising Star award,” the judges said.
Tyler has always been persistent and has learned to plan ahead to make sure that projects are kept on track in this current climate.
“T-rob Constructions’ code of conduct is to always act with integrity, be honest and create win-win situations,” Tyler said.
“In this current environment, these qualities have never been more important. I believe this is the reason our team shines bright.”
Tyler moved to the coast from Winton to complete his apprenticeship with Andrew
Patteson Homes after finishing high school.
After spending some time as a site supervisor for Patterson, he completed his Certificate IV in Carpentry, gained his builders licence and started his own business, T-rob Constructions.
T-rob being an old high school nickname that has stuck.
Tyler said a mentor once told him there was no such thing as “a crap team, only a crap leader”.
“This award demonstrates the team’s hard work and leadership,” he said.
“We are very grateful to be presented with this award and believe this cements our position in the construction industry as a great builder.”
From starting out with completing small bathroom and deck renovations, Tyler has built T-rob Constructions up to be now completing large extensions and custom-built homes as well as completing several of his own small property developments.
Dedication, hard work and commitment are attributes that Tyler demonstrates and also highly values and encourages in his team.
Two years ago, as T-rob Constructions was growing, Tyler identified a need to upgrade his administration and project documentation systems and employed someone with these skills.
Their teamwork in the office has enabled the administration side of the business to be streamlined with new systems developed and implemented, including the use of Buildxact software for estimating, ordering, scheduling, invoicing and monitoring of cashflow throughout a job’s duration.
Master Builders contracts and supporting documentation is used in every job to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Tyler is committed to achieving an excellent result for his clients and has received repeated testimonials acknowledging and appreciating this. The T-rob team has developed because of who Tyler is and the type of leader he has become.
