Tourism and Leisure Facilities up to $10 million
Brothers Rugby Leagues Club Victory Bar by Phoenix Constructions (Queensland) Pty Ltd
Being successful in the 2021 Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards awards was recognition of a number of factors that Phoenix Constructions prides itself on.
“There is a long established need to understand the operation of our clients and then to ensure that all of the involved entities are on the same page to provide the absolute best outcome,” Phoenix Constructions director Nathan Evennett said. “In this case we engaged strongly with the client, architect, engineer, trade contractors and suppliers to manage the complicated build with the minimum disruption to the client’s operation.”
Nathan said the selection of a foreman experienced in construction of this type and close management supervision, ensured a smooth construction process and an excellent finished product.
“The winning of this award not only engenders pride in our workforce, it shows our commitment to excellence to our clients and our ability to work closely and effectively with consultants and our numerous valued subcontractors,” he said. “The ultimate conclusion of the project on program and budget delivered a high quality addition to the Brothers League Club facilities and helped in the club being awarded Queensland Club of the Year at its completion.”
The Brothers League Club Victory Bar was a tight timeline construction project to deliver a fully equipped bar, boutique restaurant area, major modification to existing grandstand, upper level bar and viewing platform, large television for sports viewing and a live music stage, all under a high roof area for tropical environment enjoyment.
The project involved construction in a restricted area, with a large part of it undertaken through the wet season to ensure the facility would be available for the forthcoming rugby league season.
