QUEENSLAND Police have launched a campaign to reduce the number of non-urgent calls coming through to triple-0.

From September 2020 to August 2021, only 13.67 per cent of calls made to triple-0 were classified as urgent or very urgent with the majority of calls able to be dealt with through Policelink.

The campaign will raise awareness of the Queensland Police Services’ other reporting avenues encouraging the community to stop and think before dialling triple-0.
