Don’t force vaccines: Katter

-

KENNEDY MP Bob Katter has urged a rethink of mandatory vaccinations, saying a number of public servants have raised concerns with him in recent weeks.

“Democracy is when people tell the rulers what is good for them. A bureaucracy is when the government tells you what is good for you,” Mr Katter said.

“I don’t think anyone has any doubts as to what system is operating here. It is for us, the people, to decide.”

He said while 70-80 per cent of the population may agree to be immunised, the remainder would take the risk.

“That’s their choice. Immunisation will not stop you from getting the disease or propagating the disease,” Mr Katter said.
