Celtic’s Poste mortems
ANGE Postecoglou has lashed out at his Celtic team following a sixth defeat in seven away games.
Andrew Shinnie’s first-half strike proved the difference in a 1-0 defeat at Livingston on Monday, leaving Celtic without a win on the road since February 14.
Celtic is already four points adrift of Rangers and Postecoglou warned that the horror run must end or it will end the season trophy-less.
“Our football was OK, we created some chances but our decisions in the final third were really poor, probably the poorest they’ve been all year,” the Celtic boss said. “We’ve had some issues defensively but I thought in the front half we were terrible. That was everybody, not just the strikers or the attacking players.”
The Scottish media has had its say on Postecoglou’s start at Celtic, too.
Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph wrote that the Australian’s system and style of play could be “explosive and a joy to watch”.
“But he needs a bigger and stronger squad for sustainability,” Joseph added.
