Voss Blues’ top choice

AN ALASTAIR Clarkson backflip is all that stands between Michael Voss and the Carlton senior coaching job.

Sources have confirmed Voss is the panel’s preferred option over highly rated Richmond assistant Adam Kingsley and Essendon assistant Daniel Giansiracusa. The club also sounded out Tigers assistant Andrew Mcqualter, who is a favourite of Ross Lyon.

New chief executive Brian Cook and David Parkin still held hope on the weekend of luring Clarkson but the fourtime premiership coach’s manager James Henderson has consistently rejected suggestions of a change of heart for his client.
