Thieves busted breaking into homes

A GROUP of thieves has been busted breaking into multiple Mount Isa homes and stealing cars across two days.

About 1.40am on Sunday, a 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy allegedly broke into an Abel Smith Parade house and stole a car.

The next night, a 12-year-old boy broke into an East St house through a toilet window.

He stole a Playstatio­n, bag and house key and ran off.

The boy then allegedly returned a short time later with his brother and went back into the house.

Once inside, the boys allegedly removed clothing items and a mobile phone.

A 12-year-old Townview boy has been charged with enter dwelling with intent by break, enter dwelling with intent in company, receiving tainted property and possess utensil.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Children’s Court at a later date.

A 13-year-old Pioneer boy has been charged with two counts of receiving tainted property.

He was given bail and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Children’s Court at a later date.
